A compressed air dryer is a piece of equipment designed to separate water vapor or moisture (de-humidify) from industrial process air. In the typical system, a compressor draws in humid air and compresses it, which raises the air temperature and then cooling the air condensing water vapor out of the unit. Air dryers remove moisture from the air. Each dryer system- desiccant dryer, refrigerated dryer, and membrane dryer, uses its own technique. The measurement of dry compressed air after processing is known as its 'dew point'. The lower the temperature of the dew point, the less amount of water vapor in the air. Hot air dryers are very efficient in their use of energy, cutting down on your business expenses. These machines are also flexible in how they are loaded. Workers can put plastic parts into the dryer by hand or the business can utilize an automated loading system that is attached to the machine. As the name implies, a refrigerated air dryer works by cooling down the air (like a refrigerator). The warm wet air enters the dryer, where it is cooled down to about 3 degrees Celsius. All water vapor that was in the air condenses into water. The liquid water is then removed from the compressed air by a water-trap. They consist of an air-to-air heat exchanger and an air-to-Freon heat exchanger. The compressed air from the compressor first passes the air-to-air heat exchanger. In this phase the incoming air is pre-cooled by the outgoing air and the outgoing air is heated.
